Bangkok Airways and EVA Air have signed a code-share agreement for services from Amsterdam, Vienna, London (Heathrow) and Taipei to Thailand’s key destinations of Koh Samui, Phuket and Chiang Mai. The agreement takes effect next month. EVA will operate the international flights with Bangkok Air handling domestic services. Captain Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, President of Bangkok Airways, said, “With the strength of Bangkok Airways’ feeding network, coupled with EVA Air’s long-haul expertise, I strongly believe this partnership will benefit greatly Thailand’s tourism outlook.”
Bangkok Airways has also teamed up with codeshare partner Etihad Airways to give an added bonus to its FlyerBonus frequent fly programme members. FlyerBonus members may now earn points when travelling with Etihad Airways on qualifying fares.
