Booking.com Sustainable Travel Report: majority of global travelers stating that they want to travel sustainably

Green travel trend continues to gain momentum, according to the global Sustainable Travel Report by Booking.com, with a large majority of global travelers (87%) stating that they want to travel sustainably, and nearly four in 10 (39%) confirming that they often or always manage to do so.

IUCN, has published new “Guidelines on Tourism and Visitor Management in Protected Areas”. Produced by Yu-Fai Leung, Anna Spencely, Glen Hvenegaard and Ralf Buckley, leading experts of the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas Tourism and Protected Areas Specialist (TAPAS) Group, with the support of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on behalf the Federal German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, as well as North Carolina State University.
